The Saber Masterclass is a professional training course that teaches cinematic light-saber combat with a combination of saber weapon systems.

Created and taught by leading Stunt and Action Specialist; Andreas Petrides, this course is designed to elevate your saber performance skills, deepen your understanding of screen combat and immerse you in the professional standards of blockbuster-level action performance work.

Andreas’ 30+ years of industry experience as well as being Fight Arranger, 2nd Unit Stunt Co-ordinator and Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Stunt Double on Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, means he brings first-hand, real-life experience from one of the most iconic action franchises of all time!

From training the cast and choreographing the action, to making Obi-Wan Kenobi’s stunts look extraordinary on screen, Andreas’ work has helped shape what is widely regarded as one of the greatest Star Wars fight sequences ever created.

The Training

Your training day is immersive, hands-on, and professionally filmed, covering both performance and on-camera skills.

The day includes:

An in-depth multimedia presentation by Andreas, sharing his Star Wars journey and outlining what the Saber Masterclass will cover.
Introduction to Saber Masterclass fundamentals; including style, stance and performance to camera - using both single and double-ended sabers.
Full demonstrations of the Saber routines using both weapon systems.
Step-by-step learning of the routines until you are confident and ‘performance ready’.
Additional flourish techniques to enhance your character style and on-screen presence.
The unique opportunity to perform as principal Saber Master characters, filmed under realistic set conditions.
Opportunities to capture memorable photos on both of our specially created saber sets.
A full debrief of the day.
