Top Films 2019

2018 has been a big year for film... 2019 will be even bigger. In no particular order, I've pulled up some of the most highly anticipated films of 2019, It will be an expensive year for cinema-goers with some of the epic titles coming up.

'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood'

Robbie, Dicaprio, Pitt all mixed together under the direction of Quentin Tarantino... need I say more? This true story tells the events of the brutal murder of Hollywood actress Sharon Tate. A gritty tale with the edge of Tarantino. This will certainly be a hit.

'Star Wars: Episode 9'

Star Wars released 'The Last Jedi' back in 2017... the epic finale part of the sequel trilogy. Will we finally get some answers? Only time will tell...

'Captain Marvel'

Marvel's first proper female lead Superhero film... it's about time right? This will be an interesting story as a lot of the events of the film will take place before a lot of the other films, but one thing is for sure... Captain Marvel is the key to helping the Avengers out of their sticky situation with Thanos... well they better hope she is!

'The Lion King'

A classic Disney story retold as a live action film... one of the most popular films of the decade when the original was released it has since been made into a musical too. With a stellar cast and stunning visuals, this will be a hit.

'Avengers 4'

Fans are eagerly waiting for this film, especially after the cliff-hanger we were left on after 'Avengers: Infinity War'  - screw you Marvel!

'Joker'

The Joker is coming back... this time in more of an origins story. Not related to theJoker played by Jared Leto, but just another version of the character, possibly set in another universe perhaps. The Joker will be played by Joaquin Phoenix this time... fans are very intrigued.

'Rocketman'

An epic musical fantasy about the uncensored human story of Sir Elton John’s breakthrough years. Played by the one and only Taron Egerton as Sir Elton! A story worth telling!

'Terminator 6'

Hasta la vista, baby! Such a classic line, from such a classic film series, it's no surprise that Terminator has returned. Arnold did say 'I'll be back'. He did not disappoint.

'IT: Chapter 2'

Chapter 2 of the creepy horror film starring Bill Skarsgård (how does he do that smile?). This film will bring not only the original children from the original film but will also bring into the mix the adult counterparts.

'Hellboy'

Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge. David Harbour has temporarily put his Hawkins Sheriff badge on the shelf to play the one and only Hellboy!
