B.L.A.S.T is the UK's only industry health and safety approved stunt training course. Instructed by UK leading JISC stunt performers and co-ordinators, it represents the highest standard of dedicated stunt training available in the industry.

Based over three days of intense theoretical and practical training, the course is suited to those who are seriously considering the career as a professional stunt performer. Designed for both experienced stunt performers and trainee's, B.L.A.S.T puts you through a series of realistic on set style stunt scenarios and will test the limits of your physical and mental ability. 

B.L.A.S.T is a personal development stunt training course designed to provide essential stunt training in order for you to become a safe, competent and employable stunt performer. Whilst the UK film and TV industry do not officially accredit stunt training, you will be assessed by British Registered Stunt Co-ordinators and Performers to the British Action Academy standard. 

Taught by leading professionals 

You will be taught by UK leading JISC Registered Stunt Co-ordinators, and Stunt Performers having co-ordinated and performed stunts on some of the biggest productions of all time.

What you learn on B.L.A.S.T

Whilst the 6 skill entry system to join the British JISC Stunt Register demonstrates you can possess good sporting ability, it does not teach you the fundamental skill base of how to perform as a stunt performer.

B.L.A.S.T will teach you the theory and performance elements of the following:

  • Utility/generic stunt work
  • Agility and strength
  • Fight techniques and reactions
  • Falling/tumbling stunt performing techniques 
  • Bike crashes
  • Hitting marks/moving objects
  • Explosive power
  • Box rig/airbag construction and testing 
  • Falling from height
  • Working with ropes/bungees and quick release systems
  • Stair falls
  • Set Etiquette and expectations of you as a stunt performer 
  • Self risk assessing
  • Set up testing/checking of stunt performing equipment
  • Timing/working to set marks
  • Confidence/aggression
  • Improvisation/adaptability
  • Physical acting ability
  • Working in pairs/teams
  • Understanding performing to stunts camera
