5. Cancellations: Consumers’ Statutory Right to Cancel

Accrual of the Statutory Right to Cancel the Contract

Should you book a Training Course for a purpose that is wholly or mainly outside of your trade, business, craft or profession, you are entitled to a 14-day “cooling off” period beginning the day after the day on which you enter into the contract for the supply of the Training Course with British Action Academy Limited.

During the 14-day “cooling off” period you have the right to cancel the contract without giving any reason, and at no cost.

Exercise of the Statutory Right to Cancel the Contract

In order to exercise your right to cancel the contract, you must inform British Action Academy Limited of your decision to do so. Should you exercise this right to cancel, British Action Academy Limited will refund any and all payments that you have made to it pursuant to the cancelled contract by the end of 14 days after the day on which it is informed of your decision to exercise your right to cancel the contract.

Booking a Course Due to Start Within the Statutory “Cooling Off” Period

Should you book a Training Course due to begin during your 14-day “cooling off” period, that period shall expire either at the end of the 14-day “cooling off” period or at the end of the Training Course, whichever occurs first.

Should you exercise your right to cancel the contract during the Training Course, you will be liable to a full cancellation charge (100% of the ticket cost). This sum will be set off against any payments that you have already made to British Action Academy Limited pursuant to the cancelled contract.

Interaction of the Statutory Right to Cancel for Consumers with the British Action Academy’s Cancellation Policy

Should you be entitled to a 14-day “cooling off” period, during that 14-day “cooling off” period the provisions within Part 4 of these Terms and Conditions of trading, entitled “Cancellations”, do not apply.
