CHARITY AND
CHILDREN'S WORK

The British Action Academy’s™ core belief is the positive promotion of health, education and emotional welfare for children and young people and we believe that every child should have the chance to lead happy, healthy, fulfilling lives.

Andreas Petrides has been involved in many children’s charity events over the years, performing for the charity ‘Variety Club’ at numerous showbiz charity shows. For over 60 years the Variety Club Children’s Charity has been helping sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people.

Andreas also co-ordinated a large pirate show at the Disney Channel’s Kids Awards at the Royal Albert Hall, working with artists like the Sugarbabes, Rachel Stevens and McFly.  The Kids Awards is an amazing, star studded award event where children and adults are recognised for their work within the entertainment industry and the nominees are voted for entirely by children.

We donate from our profits to the following charities; NSPCC, Action for Children and Shelter.

Through our charity work and financial contributions to children’s charities we are continually working towards helping to bridge the gap between disadvantaged children and their peers in the hope that we are able to make a difference.

For more information on the charities we support, click on their logos above to visit their websites.  Please donate of you can, they really need your help.

Here are some devastating statistics regarding children within the United Kingdom.

  1. Every 10 days within England and Wales one child is killed at the hand of their parents (and two thirds of these are under 5).
  2. More than one third of all rapes reported to the Police involve children under the age of 16.
  3. 31% of children experience bullying by their peers during childhood
  4. 72% of sexually abused children do not tell anyone about the abuse at the time of the crime and a third of children have not reported it at by early adulthood.
  5. 25% of children experience physical violence during childhood
  6. 3.8 MILLION children live in poverty within the United Kingdom meaning they are twice as likely to be homeless or trapped in bad housing, this in turn has a damaging effect on their education.

Please feel free to contact us if you would like the British Action Academy™ to help participate in your fundraising event, you can be sure we’ll bring in the crowds, the press and also add a touch of ‘Hollywood’ to boot!
