EXPERIENCE DAY AND BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Orders – The placing of an order does not constitute the creation of a contract and British Action Academy reserves the right to decline to process an order for any reason whatsoever. If an order cannot be fulfilled for any reason, the British Action Academy will promptly refund all monies. The placing of an order constitutes your acceptance of British Action Academy’s Terms & onditions of trading. For the protection of our customers, the British Action Academy reserves the right to undertake additional security checks and if necessary, delay the order.

Private Group / Corporate Booking – If you are booking one of our events for a private group or for a corporate function there is a strict maximum of 20 people per day, the group booking price will be the same even if there is less than 20 attending. You will be required to provide a list of every attendee after you receive confirmation of your booking.

V.A.T – Prices quoted include V.A.T at rates applicable on the day of purchase.

Experience Descriptions, Formats and Durations – Details of experience description, format and timings given on our site and in any other literature are intended only to present a general idea of the experience, and shall not be considered binding. In particular, photographs are for illustrative purposes only and do not form part of any contract between you and British Action Academy. As the British Action Academy offers a number of experiences details such as session lengths, itineries, equipment used and numbers of participants may vary. Most experiences will be “open” days meaning that other members of the public will be taking part too. This could mean taking your turn with other members of the public.

Tickets – British Action Academy experience Tickets are valuable documents and cannot be replaced if they are lost, damaged or stolen and are invalid if altered or tampered with. British Action Academy accepts no liability in these circumstances.

Validity of Tickets – Each ticket is generally valid for a period of 6 months from date of purchase unless otherwise stated. Experiences must be booked and undertaken during the dates set out by the British Action Academy. Early booking is advisable as the event dates are subject to availability.

Extension of tickets – Most tickets may be extended at British Action Academy’s absolute discretion for a further period of 3 months upon payment of a £20.00 administration fee. This fee, along with the original ticket, must be returned to the British Action Academy for an extension to be processed. If the activity has increased in price, you will have to pay the difference between the old and the new price. Once a ticket has been extended it cannot be exchanged or refunded. Please note that expired tickets and promotional vouchers cannot be extended under any circumstances.

Refund of tickets – A full refund is available within 14 days of purchase for experiences purchased direct from British Action Academy. A refund can only be made to the purchaser and if payment was originally made by credit/debit card the refund will be made to the same card. A refund cannot be given once a booking has been made or on extended, expired or exchanged tickets.

Discount Codes & Entitlements – The British Action Academy reserves the right to exclude any product from discount schemes. Only one discount code may be used per order. Discounts apply to new orders only and cannot be used against exchanges, extensions, money on account, delivery and fulfillment charges or any other facility provided by the British Action Academy. You may be required to provide evidence of your entitlement to any discount.

Third Parties and Re-Sale – A person who is not recorded as the purchaser or event attendee with the British Action Academy has no right under the Contracts (Rights of third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any terms and
conditions of booking. A ticket, which has been re-sold (for example, through Internet auction sites or by any other means) without our prior consent, will be considered invalid and the British Action Academy will not be under any obligation to provide any service.

Dispatch of tickets – The British Action Academy cannot be held responsible for any goods damaged in the post or any postal delays. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, and are governed by and in accordance with English law. The purchaser and ticket recipient agree that any problems fall under the jurisdiction of the English courts. All the clauses and sub clauses in our terms and conditions are independent of each other. If one clause or sub clause is invalid or unenforceable, this will
not affect any other clause or sub clause. These terms & conditions are subject to change

Course Programme – The British Action Academy reserve the right to alter or change the programme or staging of the event without prior notification and without refund of monies or exchange of ticket.

Prices & Locations – All locations and prices are correct at the time of going to press but may change or be withdrawn for reasons beyond our control. Any change of location for reasons beyond the Event Management / British Action Academy’s control will be communicated to the participants as soon as possible and will not be subject to any refund, unless the event cannot go ahead.

Force Majeure – By purchasing an experience with the British Action Academy or redeeming a ticket, you acknowledge that our experiences are dependent on certain factors beyond the control of British Action Academy and agree that we are not liable for the cancellation, postponement or alteration of any experience for reasons beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to) weather-related reasons, unauthorised access, theft, severe weather, earthquakes or natural disasters, strikes, or other labour problems, wars or governmental restrictions, terrorist actions, mechanical failure, location changes or otherwise. If these situations should occur, all reasonable efforts will be made to re-schedule the experience at the convenience for everyone involved. Please note that experiences and other products/services are subject to change without notice. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Cancellation – If an experience is cancelled by the British Action Academy either before or on the day of the event, due to circumstances beyond all reasonable control, the British Action Academy will arrange to re-book the participant at a mutually agreed time and date at no extra cost. The British Action Academy cannot be held liable for any costs including (but not limited to) travel expenses or pre-booked accommodation costs incurred by the participant in the event of a cancellation by British Action Academy.

Cancellation by participants – Once you make a booking with the British Action Academy you are bound to the company’s terms and conditions. A full refund is available within 14 days of the purchase date. Full money back from cancellation of the experience anytime after the initial 14 days and up to 7 days before the experience date is down to the discretion of the British Action Academy.

Cancellation during the 7 day run up before the experience date may not be subject to a full refund and may be liable to a 100% cancellation charge of the total event fee.

No Show – Any participant, who does not show up for the event when they have been confirmed and booked in, will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee of the face value of the ticket.

Liability – Our experiences involve high-risk activities and will require, on arrival of the experience, the signing of a Liability & Waiver Agreement.

Restrictions – Most of our experiences are subject to restrictions. These include (but are not limited to) age, height, weight, physical and medical restrictions, and may vary on different experiences. This is detailed on
all booking forms prior to any monies exchanged. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that the event is appropriate for the intended recipient and it is the responsibility of the recipient to double check that the restrictions are not prohibitive. Dates and Availability of Experiences – Once you book an experience with the British Action Academy you will be sent an available date(s) in which to book. Please note that these dates will be sent to you when the location has been confirmed. The British Action Academy will endeavour to provide dates to you as soon as possible once an experience has been purchased but there may occasions where the dates might be delayed for reasons beyond our control. These dates may also be subject to change for reasons beyond the
British Action Academy’s control.

We advise confirming your preferred date as soon as you receive them (within the first 2 months). Leaving confirmation to the last few months of the tickets validity may result in the British Action Academy being unable to guarantee a space on the supplied date(s). All event dates are subject to availability. Our under 18 experiences are mainly organised during school / college holiday periods. All our experience run periodically throughout the year.

BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Admission – To enter the event you are required to produce the event ticket. Along with the ticket, in some cases you may be asked to provide photographic ID. The participant attending any British Action Academy events must be over 18.

The Venue Management / British Action Academy Staff reserves the right to refuse admission to any person and to remove persons from the venue for any reason where necessary.

In the interest of public safety, the Venue Management /
BAA Staff reserve the right to request the ticket holder to leave the venue at any time for safety reasons or immediately after the event.

Admission to the venue and event is at the ticket holder’s own risk. The Venue Management / BAA Staff shall not be liable for any loss, injury or damage sustained within the premises.

The Venue Management / BAA Staff may reserve the right to search all persons and personal property and refuse admission to, or eject from, the venue any person who they feel might endanger the health and safety of staff and fellow participants. The participant will forfeit any right to claim money back for the ticket or expenses paid out to attend the event.

Any person who fails to comply with instructions from the Event Management / BAA Staff or other person acting for the Venue Management / BAA Staff may be ejected from the venue and the participant will forfeit any right to claim money back for the ticket or expenses paid out to attend the event.

Knives, weapons and similar articles or dangerous or hazardous articles are not permitted within the venue, and any person found in possession of such articles will be refused entry or ejected and the participant will forfeit any right to claim money back for the ticket or expenses paid out to attend the event.

Security – CCTV is in operation at the venue and the Studios have an entrance and exit gate to prevent unauthorised access into venue.

Personal Belongings – The Venue Management / BAA Staff and the Venue owners do not accept responsibility for property lost or stolen at the venue or in individual’s vehicles.

Photography and/or recording equipment – The use of personal photography and or recording equipment including (but not limited) to all audio, cameras and mobile phone cameras, camcorders, video on mobile phones, ipods, audio visual and cinematographic equipment or devices are prohibited during the event. All recording and any transmission are prohibited including, without limitation, recording of any data, information or audio or audio visual footage of or relating to the event and any participant.
As a condition of entry to the event you assign (by way of present assignment of future copyright) the copyright in any photographs or recordings that you make at the event in breach of this prohibition to the owner of the event.

During the day pictures will be taken by the Event Management / BAA Staff and included in the cost of your ticket are 2 photo’s of the day for each participant.

Ticket holders give their express consent to the use of their actual or simulated likeness in connection with the production, exhibition, advertising or exploitation of any film, video and/or audio recording of this event, and/or any element thereof in any/all media throughout the World.

Food and Drink – Lunch is not included in any of our events. You are expected to either bring a packed lunch or purchase food from the canteen at the venue.
Water is provided free of charge throughout the days event.

Alcohol – Alcohol and alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited at the venue and any participant found with alcohol on their person, drinking or smelling of drink prior, during or on event breaks will be ejected from the venue and the participant will forfeit any right to claim money back for the ticket or expenses paid out to attend the event.

Smoking – All Pinewood Studios locations are no smoking zones.

Spectators – Unfortunately, spectators and any one under the age of 18 are not permitted onto the practice room due to space, safety and insurance reasons. Our experiences involve high-risk activities and as such we could not guarantee the safety of any onlookers.

Problems on the Day – We welcome your feedback on all of our experiences. In the unlikely event that you encounter a problem on the day, please immediately bring it to the attention of the Event Management or any British Action Academy staff present at the venue so that they have a chance to put matters right. If you have attempted resolution but the problem was not resolved on the day, please contact us via email to: info@britishactionacademy.com within 1 week of your experience, providing your voucher reference, participant and venue details, including who you spoke to on the day.

Availability – Experiences are subject to availability and, in some cases, may be subject to weather conditions.

To avoid disappointment we recommend that customers book well in advance, at least 4-5 weeks for the majority of experiences. During peak periods it may be necessary to allow a longer notice period although we might be able to occasionally fit in a booking at short notice. We strongly advise that you do not make any travel, accommodation or other arrangements until you have received confirmation of your booking and event date.
